Finnigan MAT 262V TIMS

Finnigan MAT 262V TIMS
The TIMS uses 8 Faraday collectors and a SEM-ion counting system, and is used in isotope geochemistry and geochronology applications. The TIMS facility is supported by a class 100 clean lab for the preparation of 'clean' separates for the analysis of Rb/Sr and Nd/Sm isotopes from powdered rock samples and mineral separates. Common Pb separates for both powdered rock samples and mineral separates are also prepared in this facility.

St. John's
Newfoundland and Labrador (NL)

The Earth Resources Research and Analysis (TERRA) Facility is housed in the Department of Earth Sciences. TERRA provides chemical and physical analyses utilizing a large variety of instrumentation. Most laboratories have standard fee-for-service packages that are offered to the geological, archaelogical, environmental and biological communities. Research into new applications and techniques is on-going.
