The gold standard in high throughput DNA array and next generation sequencing verification. A method of high resolution DNA sequencing (up to 180nt) based on the 'sequencing by synthesis' principle that enables rapid and accurate quantification of sequence variation. Main application in de novo sequencing, complex mutation analysis (SNP, CNV), epigenetics (CpG and CpN analysis of DNA methylation patterns) in human and animal tissue as well as resistance typing and microbial ID.

Throughput: 1–24 samples

PCR requirements: ~0.5–3 pmol of product

Maximum read length: 10–140* bp or more depending on assay

Sensitivity: 2% mutation 98% wild-type
